On Monday, March 24th, we will be hosting the re-launch of the Centre for Transformative Change in Schools (CenTCS) from 1:30pm-6:00pm at the Advanced Research Centre (11 Chapel Ln, Glasgow G11 6EW).
CenTCS, a research centre housed in the University of Glasgow School of Education, builds upon the legacy of the Robert Owen Centre for Educational Change. We generate research and facilitate collaborative practice to support equity by focusing on educators’ transformative learning and praxis. We are excited about this new chapter in the life of the Centre and hope that you will be able to join us in its re-launch.
Our draft programme for the re-launch event is:
1:30-2:00 Welcome (tea & coffee)
2:00-2:45 Introducing the Centre for Transformative Change in Schools
2:45-3:15 Panel: What’s next for professional learning? (Followed by a break)
3:15-4:00 Table discussions and Q&A
4:00-4:30 Conclusions and Wrap-Up
4:30-6:00 Reception
We would like to invite each Local Authority Director of Education, or their representative, to join us in this event as valued stakeholders and collaborators. Might it be possible to distribute this invitation to them?
Please RSVP via the link by Friday, February 28: https://forms.office.com/e/QrMvvihWf6
Note that we are conscious of reducing the environmental impact of this event as far as possible. We will provide name badges to fit on standard lanyards and invite attendees to bring their own lanyard, should they have one to hand.
Looking forward to future engagements with you as CenTCS embarks upon this new chapter!
