ADES in partnership with The Staff College are pleased to be offering this new professional learning leadership development opportunity – aimed at recently appointed or aspiring Chief Education Officers/Directors of Education in Scotland.
Scotland’s Chief Education Officers operate at the intersection of national policy, local democratic accountability and the lived realities of children, young people and communities. The role demands operational oversight but it also requires system leadership, political acuity and the capacity to hold long-term purpose in the face of immediate pressure. This programme has been designed specifically to support Chief Education Officers to lead with clarity, confidence and collective strength in that context.
The programme is a mix of residential opportunities, online sessions and action learning sets. All the details of the programme and associated costs etc are set out on that attached prospectus. Places will be limited so early registration will be essential. (Closing date for applications is 1 May 2026)
